     My name is David Karins and my social security number is 123-45-6789.  I am enrolled in this course in order to increase my proficiency at using common computer applications.

     Currently I am enrolled in three biology courses, Microbes and Food Production, Genetic Manipulation, and this one.  I will be graduating in December with a degree in Biology.  Previously I have completed all required Biology courses, and several electives such as Plants and Life, Bio-illustration, and STDs. 

     At home I use a PC computer (AMD Athlon 800Mhz) with Windows ME operating system.  For Internet service I use the Titan Internet through the school.  The email address that I most commonly use is [email protected]. 

     I would classify my computer skills as competent in some areas and amateur in others (such as Excel).  I have had experience assembling several computers including loading the OS, drivers and other programs.  Recently I networked two computers for my first time.  I have a fairly good understanding of Windows 98 and ME. 

     After I graduate I will attempt to find a professional entry-level job, and possibly work on becoming credentialed for teaching in secondary education.
